Here Are The Expected Features Of The Upcoming Toyota Taisor

Back in October 2022, Toyota trademarked the ‘Taisor’ name in India, which raised speculation about the carmaker’s future plans for our market. Of late, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki have jointly developed and launched cars such as the Vitara Brezza and Urban Cruiser, Baleno and Glanza, Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser Hyryder and soon, Maruti Suzuki will launch their version of the Innova Hycross in India. Now, Maruti Suzuki have unveiled the Fronx, a B2-segment SUV based on the Baleno. Since Toyota and Maruti Suzuki already share the Baleno platform, it’s safe to assume that the Fronx will spawn a Toyota B2-segment with the name Taisor.

The Toyota Taisor will replace the discontinued Urban Cruiser. In this article, we share the expected features of the Taisor SUV.

The Taisor B2-segment SUV is likely to be similar to the Fronx in terms of dimensions. It is not likely to boast any major changes in terms of length, width or height. That said, the dimensions could change by a few millimetres depending on the changes made to the bumpers.

As we stated earlier, the Taisor is likely to share its powertrain options with the Fronx. It could come with a 1.2L normal petrol engine and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine. The transmission options could include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed automated manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
