2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO Bookings Open Ahead Of Global Debut On January 5 | V3Cars

Mahindra have opened bookings for the 2026 XUV 7XO ahead of its global debut on January 5. Customers have the flexibility to select their preferred dealership, engine option and choice of transmission at the time of booking. The new XUV 7XO will be offered with 2 engine options with both manual and automatic transmissions. The booking option is available across all Mahindra dealerships and the brand’s website.

Ahead of its global debut, let’s take a look at what the XUV 7XO has to offer.

2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO Design Highlights

Based on teasers released by Mahindra so far, we know that the XUV 7XO will take heavy design inspiration from the brand’s latest electric offering – the XEV 9S. The XUV 700 facelift will offer new a LED DRL signature reminiscent of the XEV 9S. It will also offer a new front grille with updated vertical slats, new connected LED taillamps with horizontal and vertical elements, and a new deep red colour option. Apart from these changes, the XUV 7XO is expected to retain the same dimensions as the outgoing XUV 700.

2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO Feature Highlights

In terms of features, Mahindra have confirmed the top variants of the XUV 7XO will offer a triple-screen layout similar to the one offered in the XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The triple-screen layout will consist of three 12.3-inch displays that will serve as the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system and front passenger entertainment screen.

Mahindra have also teased an electronic Boss Mode, that enables rear seat passengers to slide the front passenger seat forward to liberate more legroom. This feature is especially handy for chauffeur-driven customers. The XUV 7XO will also offer: 

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Powered driver’s seat with memory
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Ventilated and massaging front seats
  • Ventilated captain seats in 6-seater variants
  • Rear window sun blinds
  • Premium audio system
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

In terms of safety, we expect the XUV 7XO to offer up to 7 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchors, electronic parking brake (EPB) and Level-2 ADAS with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, and more.

Mahindra are unlikely to make any engine or gearbox changes for the XUV 700 facelift. As a result, the XUV 7XO will continue with the current set of powertrains:

Mahindra XUV 7XO — Expected Price & Rivals

Mahindra currently retail the XUV 700 in the Rs. 13.66 lakh to Rs. 23.71 lakh ex-showroom price band. With the facelift and feature upgrades, pricing for the XUV 7XO is likely to be positioned slightly higher, potentially starting around Rs. 14 lakh (ex-showroom).

When launched, it will compete with the Tata Harrier and Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra Scorpio N.
