Nissan India Roll Out 50,000th Magnite | V3Cars

Nissan India haved rolled out 50,000 units of the Magnite from their manufacturing plant in Chennai. The Nissan Magnite has received over 1,00,000 bookings from both domestic and export markets combined. Recently, the Magnite was awarded a 4-star crash test rating for adult occupants by the Global NCAP.

Nissan India launched the Magnite sub-compact SUV in December 2020. Since its launch, the Magnite has received a great response from the market thanks to its styling and attractive pricing. The response has been so good that the waiting period for a few variants is now close to 12 months.

The Nissan Magnite comes with two engine choices — a 1.0L normal petrol and a 1.0L turbo petrol. The normal petrol engine produces 72PS of power at 6250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3500rpm. It is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine produces 100PS of power at 5000rpm and 160Nm of torque between 2800rpm and 3600rpm with the 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0L turbo petrol mated to the CVT, on the other hand, produces the same amount of power. However, the torque output is reduced to 152Nm from 2200rpm to 4400rpm.

Later this year, Nissan India are likely to launch the Magnite 7-seater. The Nissan Magnite rivals other sub-compact SUVs like the Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV300. The Magnite 7-seater, on the other hand, will go against the Renault Triber and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
