Kia Carens Clavis EV Updated With 6-Seater Option, New GT-Line And X-Line Variants | V3Cars

Kia India have introduced the MY26 update for the Kia Carens Clavis EV, bringing new seating options, variants and styling updates. The biggest highlight of this update is the addition of a 6-seater layout with 2nd row captain seats alongside the existing 7-seater configuration.

The new seating option is aimed at improving comfort and offering a more premium experience, especially for chauffeur-driven customers.

As you can see from the table above, there is no price difference between the Carens Clavis EV 6-seater and 7-seater versions. 

6-Seater Layout Now Available

The the 2026 update, the Carens Clavis EV is now available with both 6- and 7-seater configuration. The 6-seat layout is offered in all variants except the HTK Plus 24.99 lakh model equipped with the smaller battery pack.

New GT Line & X-Line Variants Introduced

Kia have also expanded the variant lineup of the Carens Clavis EV by introducing GT and X-Line variants with the larger battery pack. The GT variants – GTX and GTX Plus – offers a sportier appearance with unique alloy wheels, lime green brake calipers and metal pedals. 

The X-Line offers a dark theme with a gun metal grey exterior colour along with blacked-out styling elements. Additionally, the new GTX Plus and X-Line variants offer 2 features over the previous top variant, the HTX Plus. These are a digital key and a battery heating function.

Battery Options And Range

The Clavis EV gets the same powertrain options as the Creta Electric. So, you have 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery pack options. However, Kia are claiming to offer a longer range than the Creta Electric. With the smaller pack, the car has a range of 404km while the larger pack has a range of 490km. For comparison, the Creta EV 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery packs have a claimed range of  390km and 473km, respectively.
