Leaked: Details Of 2018 Toyota Yaris Ahead Of Launch In India

Japanese automaker Toyota is all set to launch the much awaited Yaris sedan in the Indian market on 18th May 2018. However, the variant wise details of the upcoming Yaris have been leaked on the internet ahead of its official launch in the country. The official advanced bookings for the 2018 Toyota Yaris have already commenced for the new sedan with the booking amount set at Rs 50,000.
According to the reports, the sedan will be available in four variants, namely J, G, V and VX. Mechanically, the Toyota Yaris in India will only be available with a 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine mated to either a six speed manual transmission or a seven step continuously variable transmission (CVT) automatic gearbox. While the CVT gearbox will be available throughout the range, the manual transmission will only be available in the J, G and V trims only. Also, one thing to notice is that there is no diesel engine option to be available with the upcoming sedan but it is likely that Toyota will instead bring in a hybrid setup for the car at a later date.
