Mahindra Bolero Power Plus special edition launched today with minor cosmetic and feel-good features to keep it looking fresh for the festive season.
The extra features of the Mahindra Bolero Power Plus are as follows:
Different seat cover
Steering wheel cover
Special edition graphics
Different alloy wheels
Front fog lamps
Rear spoiler with stop lamp
In the list, the only valuable addition appears to be the front fog lamps. Everything else is just to stay relevant and in the news so that potential buyers don’t forget that thye also have one more option in the sub-4m SUV segment. One that is a real SUV with a rugged ladder-frame chassis.
The Mahindra Bolero Power Plus is a sub-4m version of the regular Bolero. While the full-size Bolero comes with a bigger, more powerful engine, the smaller one gets a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder diesel engine. It makes 71PS of power and 195Nm of torque. The bigger Bolero gets an old but a reliable and proven 2.5-litre engine that makes 63PS of power and 195Nm of torque.
Early this year, the Mahindra Bolero lineup received the mandatory safety update. With the update, the Bolero got the following features:
Rear parking sensors
Seatbelt warning system
The Bolero also adheres to front and side impact crash test norms, which have come in effect from October 1, 2019.
The Mahindra Bolero is one of the oldest workhorses in the Mahindra's stable and a one that can still rival the off-road abilities of modern crossovers, which like to call themselves SUVs. Launched first back in 2000, the Bolero is one of the earliest models in the Indian UV market that is still particularly popular among the fleet owners. The BS6 version of the Bolero will launch early in 2020 to adhere to the stricter emission norms.
