In this article, we’ll estimate the ex-showroom price of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2026 — Maruti’s upcoming Baleno model for 2026. It will compete with other 4m hatchbacks such as the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and Toyota Glanza. We’ll explain the logic behind the calculations along with the reasons to support our conclusions in the variant-wise 2026 Baleno expected price table.

The Baleno 2026 will go on sale in 5 variants (Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha and Alpha (O)) and the following 4 powertrain options:
The following table presents our 2026 Baleno price expectations for each variant:
After the 2 recent price hikes, the Baleno currently starts at Rs. 5.99 lakh. We expect Maruti to retain a similar starting price of almost Rs. 6.0 lakh.
Moving up the ladder, the Baleno Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants could cost Rs. 6.90 lakh, Rs. 7.80 lakh and Rs. 8.70 lakh, respectively. For the new top-spec Alpha (O) variant, we could see the Baleno top model price stretch to Rs. 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
For the petrol-AMT automatic variants, we can expect them to carry a Rs. 50,000 premium for the convenience of not having to change gears and manage the clutch engagement.
Thus, the Delta, Zeta, Alpha and Alpha (O) variants with petrol-automatic powertrain could cost between Rs. 7.40 lakh and Rs. 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
With the CNG-manual powertrain, we expect the Baleno to continue with business as usual and make this option available in only the usual Delta and Zeta variants.
For these 2 trims, we expect the Baleno CNG to cost Rs. 95,000 more than the comparable Baleno petrol-manual variants. Thus, the Baleno CNG-manual Delta and Zeta variants could costs Rs. 7.85 lakh and Rs. 8.75 lakh, respectively.
This is going to be the star of the show. This new powertrain is a first for Maruti Suzuki despite having an undeniable leadership and expertise in selling cars with either of these pieces of tech.
Maruti Suzuki brought AMT automatics to the mainstream and they sell the most AMT cars. Maruti Suzuki also went into making CNG cars and today, have the largest portfolio as well as the largest market share in CNG cars. This is what makes it strange. CNG + AMT should have come from Maruti Suzuki, but it first came from Tata Motors. The only silver lining here is that Maruti Suzuki are following in Tata's foot steps. Before this, we have seen Maruti Suzuki bring CNG cars with better boot space --- just like Tata Motors.
We expect Baleno to come in the same 2 variants as the CNG-manual. The CNG-AMT automatic variants could carry an additional premium of Rs. 50,000 over the CNG-manual variants. Thus, we arrive at an expected ex-showroom price of Rs. 8.35 lakh and Rs. 9.25 lakh for the Delta CNG-automatic and Zeta CNG-automatic.
