The new 2019 Honda Civic has finally launched in India after many months of waiting. Honda Cars India has brought the globally acclaimed Civic sedan back to the country with a price range of Rs. 17.70 lakhs to Rs. 22.30 lakhs. The Honda Civic sedan has returned back to India in its latest 10th generation avatar, post receiving a facelift.

Honda Cars India has made the new Civic sedan available in three trim levels, namely V, VX and ZX. The 2019 Honda Civic is available in the Indian car market for first time in its diesel version as well. While the petrol version of the Civic is offered in all the three mentioned variants, the diesel version is not offered in the base V model trim.

The internationally highly successful executive sedan model now comes with two engine choices - a 1.8 litre petrol mill that has been mated to a CVT automatic transmission, while a 1.6 diesel motor comes paired to a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox. The 1.8L petrol mill is the very same engine which used to power the 8th generation model of the Civic, which used be on sale in the Indian car market. The engine is capable of generating a max power output of 141 PS along 174 Nm of top torque. On the other hand, the 1.6L oil burner is the same engine that also does the duty under the hood of the new generation CR-V compact SUV. The diesel motor is good to deliver a top power output of 120 PS and a peak torque of 300 Nm.
