The exclusive uncovering of the new updated EcoSport on carandbike.com shows the mini SUV literally getting unboxed from a massive package by two representatives of the auto portal, who explain the various new features of the SUV to the audience.

As is already known, the new 2017 Ford EcoSport sub-4 meter SUV is a comprehensive facelift model. Ford has endowed updates on the SUV’s exterior, interior and also under its hood. The updated EcoSport will be officially launched in India in November, 2017.

The EcoSport facelift comes with a new bolder front fascia with a new trapezoidal chrome slatted grille, a tad raised and bolder bonnet. The SUV now flaunts LED DRLs, while the fog lamps are considerably larger. It also gets a restyled, more muscular front bumper that enhances the vehicle’s SUV stance.

The side and the rear profiles are largely unchanged, but there are new roof rails and newly designed alloy wheels. The India-spec model retains the beloved tailgate mounted spare wheel, which has been dropped on the global model. The range topping model gets larger 17 inch alloys.

The cabin of the new 2017 Ford EcoSport has been majorly refreshed. There’s a newly designed dashboard and a large 8 inch touchscreen display for the infotainment unit dominating the central consol, although it is offered only on the top two trims, while the mid-level models get a 6.5 in display. The infotainment system also gets the new Ford Sync 3 interface offering Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and mobile navigation. This new petrol mill that comes from Ford’s new Dragon petrol engine family can generate 120 bhp of power and 150 Nm of torque and will get paired to a 5-Speed manual and a new 6-Speed automatic transmission choice. The diesel motor will be mated to only the 5-Speed manual transmission.
