Mega-luxury auto behemoth, Rolls-Royce has recently unveiled the 'Inspired by Music' edition for its entry-level Dawn. The Rolls-Royce Dawn 'Inspired by Music' edition is in line with the Wraith 'Inspired by Music' edition that was unveiled a couple of years back. The Dawn drop-top model gets the same music inspired design theme that was featured by the Wraith ‘Inspired by Music’ special edition model.
It is good to mention that the 'Inspired by Music' edition models are actually a part of the trilogy that Rolls-Royce follows for special edition models, the other two being – the 'Inspired by Film' and 'Inspired by Fashion' editions. While Rolls-Royce has already introduced all the three mention special edition models on the Wraith, the Dawn gets its first special edition model from the mentioned trilogy, while the other two special editions are expected to follow.
The new Rolls-Royce Dawn 'Inspired by Music' edition flaunts a new customized Lyrical Copper exterior body color which make the car look absolutely exquisite in its brushed and polished texture blends. According to Rolls-Royce, this very special copper exterior paint is the part of the theme and refers to the widespread usage of this metal in some of the finest audio systems in the world. In few words, the Lyrical Copper is the theme colour of this special edition model. However, in case the customers want to opt for something else, there is also the elegant Andalusian White exterior paint option. All the other exterior features remain the same as that of the standard Rolls-Royce Dawn drop-top model.
On the inside, the Rolls-Royce Dawn 'Inspired by Music' also carries the color combination of brown and copper theme to match the lovely exterior colour theme. This can be noticed on the dash, rear AC vent covers, and as accents on other minor detailing in the car cabin. The most noteworthy addition to the Dawn 'Inspired by Music' edition however, is Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Audio system with copper detailing that lends an added luxury quotient. The iconic British bespoke auto giant has not yet revealed the specific details about this bespoke audio system. However, it is thought that it is the same audio system which was featured in the Wraith 'Inspired by Music' edition, which is a 1300Wt audio system with 18 channels.
Rolls-Royce has revealed that the Rolls-Royce Dawn 'Inspired by Music' edition model has been tested in the company’s anechoic chamber, which is a special sound-proof room at its plant in Goodwood, West Sussex. A hyper-sensitive microphone was used to capture the various subtle mechanical and electrical sounds of Dawn’s several parts which were then blended together with deconstructed music stems in order to create a new track.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn 'Inspired by Music' gets no mechanical changes and is equipped by the same 6.6L twin-turbocharged V12 petrol mill generating an impressive 563 bhp of max power and a hammering 820 Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which helps the car sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 5 seconds, and offers an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
