The Toyota Glanza has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 7.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The first product from the Maruti Suzuki-Toyota partnership, the newly launched Glanza is based on Maruti Suzuki's Baleno. Toyota has launched the Glanza in two variants, the G and V with both automatic and manual transmission, based on the top two trims of the Baleno, Zeta, and Alpha.
Toyota Glanza Engine Specifications:
Under the hood, the all-new Toyota Glanza is available with a BS6 compliant 1.2-liter K12N petrol engine producing 89 bhp of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque on the G trim. This is the same unit that powers Maruti Baleno facelift. On the other hand, the Glanza V trim will get the regular 1.2-liter K12M engine without the mild-hybrid system churning out 82 bhp and 113 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. 5- speed manual transmission option along with a 7-step CVT has been offered as transmission options on the Glanza. The fuel efficiency returned by the Toyota Glanza is 21.01 kmpl for the V MT trim, 23.87 kmpl for the G MT (Mild-Hybrid) trim and 19.56 kmpl for the CVT. The fuel efficiency figures are the same for the corresponding variants of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
