Top 10 Cars With Best Boot Space Under 6 Lakh
If you have a budget of up to Rs. 6.0 lakh (ex-showroom), then you have 2 MPVs, 3 sub-4m sedans, 3 hatchbacks and 2 SUVs to choose from.

Before we get scrolling through the list, note that we’re including some variants or models, which are a little bit over our ceiling of Rs. 6.0 lakh. This will help buyers who don’t mind stretching the budget a little bit. We also haven’t, included CNG variants as there’s no official information about their boot capacity after the inclusion of the CNG tank. Moreover, the cylinder leaves very little space in the trunk, making it pretty much unusable.
1. Renault Triber - 625 L
Renault’s packaging with the Triber deserves a bow. This car offers space for 7 occupants and boot space that puts the Ertiga to shame. At least in 5-seater mode, the Triber beats the Ertiga with 625-litres of boot space.
For occasional use, the car’s 1.0-litre normal petrol engine may not mind lugging around 7 occupants even on the highway. But, for city use, the Triber is more than up for the task.

2. Tata Tigor 419 L
Like the Triber, the Tata Tigor’s 4-star safety rating, city-friendly size, and big boot make this car an easy recommendation. You don’t get hydraulic struts for the boot lid, even in cars costing north of Rs. 10.0 lakh.

3. Renault Kiger - 405 L
If you don’t mind picking the base trim, the Kiger will also fit in your budget. Although, it’s not our top choice as this variant doesn’t get many of the must-have features. Check out our video or article explaining the variants of the Renault Kiger to get a clearer picture of what we mean.

5. Maruti Suzuki Arena Dzire - 378 L
The Maruti Dzire is another car on this list without many options. Only the base LXI variant is available under Rs. 6.0 lakh, but there’s still value in this car. With the Dzire, you get access to Maruti’s service network and a crazy frugal hybrid petrol engine.

6. Nissan Datsun Go Plus - 347 L
Nissan’s Datsun GO Plus is another option worth seriously considering if you value boot space and performance. With 5 seats up, it offers 347-litre boot space and a bigger, 1.2-litre petrol engine as standard, while the competition offers 1.0-litre engines at this price. Compared to the Kiger, Aura and Dzire, you also have a lot more choice as there are 4 variants on offer.

7. Tata Altroz - 345 L
And, we’re back from lush land of choices to barren deserts. The Tata Altroz XE variant is perfect for anyone looking for a car with a decent boot size and the best safety record for the lowest cost. Consider keeping some cash aside, as the base variant is pretty basic.

8. Maruti Suzuki Arena WagonR - 341 L
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR’s boxy design makes the cabin feel especially roomy while leaving room for a sizable boot. Moreover, with this car, you have quite a few choices. There are 2 engine options available under Rs. 6.0 lakh, and you can have either of them with a manual or AMT automatic transmission.

9. Maruti Suzuki Nexa Baleno - 339 L
The Nexa Baleno’s base variant is also worth looking at if you want a car with a big boot for under Rs. 6.0 lakh. Its design, however, is starting to show its age, and because of its popularity, it doesn’t stand out as much as the Altroz.

10. Nissan Magnite - 336 L
In 10th place, we have the Nissan Magnite. This car’s 336-litre boot is big enough to make it to this list but surprisingly small compared to the Kiger. The Magnite’s larger exterior dimensions don’t translate into a large cargo area as smaller hatchbacks manage to beat it in this area.

Conclusion
If you want to buy a car and have a budget of Rs. 6.0 lakh, then most of the options on this list have only 1 or 2 variants available in this price range. These can disappoint you during the ownership as they don’t have enough features we expect at this price point. If you’re okay with stretching your budget, then consider checking out the big boot cars under Rs. 7.0 lakh article.
