Mahindra XUV700 Petrol AX7 vs AX7 Luxury Variant

AX7 Luxury is XUV700’s top variant with a petrol engine and 7-seats, and it’s only available with the automatic transmission. It costs Rs. 21.29 lakh, which is Rs. 1.7 lakh higher than AX7 petrol automatic.

For the Rs. 1.7 lakh higher price, the AX7 Luxury adds a 360-degree camera, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitor, knee airbags, a 12-speaker sound system, dashcam and powered door handles. The asking price for this variant seems a bit high considering that most of the features are good to have at best. You should consider buying the AX7 Luxury only if you want these features. From the value perspective, this variant is not recommended.

With the petrol automatic too, the AX7 offers better value for money and a fantastic feature balance to earn our recommendation. The AX7 Luxury is a bit expensive for what it offers and doesn’t add enough must-have features to warrant serious consideration.

What Are The Engine Specifications Of The 7-Seat Mahindra XUV700 Petrol?

The 7-seat XUV700 petrol is the most powerful engine in its segment and it also has the best torque output. While it doesn’t help with drivability, the Alcazar manages to offer a slightly better power-to-weight ratio than the XUV700 7-seater. The fuel efficiency figures for the XUV700 petrol are not available at the moment, but we can expect them to be less than stellar because of the heavier kerb weight of the new SUV.

What Are The Dimensions Of The Mahindra XUV700 7-Seat?

The 7-seater Mahindra XUV700 is quite a large car and the widest among 3-row SUV, but it’s a wee-bit shorter than the MG Hector Plus, which is 25mm longer. The XUV700 has a 2750mm wheelbase, which is on par for the segment. We can’t comment on the ground clearance and boot space of the XUV700 as these details are not available at the moment. Just like the fuel efficiency figures, we expect these to be below par for the segment.
