5 Features Maruti Suzuki Fronx Gets But Kia Sonet Doesn’t | V3Cars

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is the latest offering in the B2-segment SUV space and it will go on sale in the coming months. It goes head on with a range of sub-compact SUVs, including the Kia Sonet.

Features Maruti Suzuki Fronx Gets Over Kia Sonet

In this article, we tell you 5 features that you get in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx but miss in the Kia Sonet.

1. Head-Up Display

The Fronx is the only other sub-compact SUV in the country to offer a head-up display. It uses a projection setup to display data like fuel efficiency, vehicle speed, engine RPM and more. It is worth noting that the Sonet gets a digital instrument cluster but the Fronx gets conventional dials.

2. 360-Degree Parking Camera

The Fronx offers a 360-degree parking camera over the Sonet, which only gets a reverse parking camera. It is worth noting that a 360-degree parking camera not only offers a bird’s eye view but also warns the driver with an alert in case the system detects any obstacles around the car.

3. Telescopic Steering

The new Fronx gets both tilt and telescopic steering whereas the Sonet only gets tilt steering. The former is sorely missed in the Sonet as a tilt and telescopic steering wheel helps the driver find the ideal driving position that ensures comfort over both short and long drives.

4. 3-Point Seatbelt For All Passengers

The Fronx is the only vehicle in its segment to offer a 3-point seatbelt for all 5 passengers. The Sonet, on the other hand, comes with a 2-point seatbelt for the 5th middle rear passenger.

5. 60:40 Split Fold Seats

While the Sonet offers a flat folding rear seat, the Fronx offers a 60:40 split fold for the rear seats. It offers a lot more practicality as you can split the seat for storage while retaining seating space for 1 or 2 passengers at the rear.
