American car major, Ford is ready to launch the much talked about new variant of its EcoSport SUV – the Titanium S in India on 14th of May, 2018. The new EcoSport Titanium S variant will be the new top-end trim in the subcompact SUV’s lineup in India. The variant will not only be endowed with a number of sporty cosmetic and feature updates, it will also be offering sportier performance with the return of the highly acclaimed 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine that got discontinued in India. Apart from the sporty EcoBoost engine, the EcoSport Titanium S variant will also boast of a stiffer suspension setup and quicker steering response in order to offer a spirited driving experience. The EcoSport Titanium S will also be offered for sale in India in the 100 hp, 1.5 litre diesel engine option.
Being the new range topping model in the Ford EcoSport lineup, the new Titanium S trim will also come loaded with many new premium features, the most notable of which is an electric sunroof. Other features will include newly designed 17 inch alloy wheels which are reminiscent of the ones seen on the previous BMW SUV models; HID headlamps as standard, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a slightly updated instrument cluster with a 4.2 inch information screen.
When the sportier cosmetic changes are concerned on the outside, the new soon to launch Ford EcoSport Titanium S variant has been endowed with a black theme which includes a contrasting black roof, black inserts on the radiator grille, darkened headlights and fog lights. Ford will offer a new attractive Satin Orange exterior body color option specially on this new top-end variant. The Titanium S trim will also get colour-coordinated interior scheme in the form of highlights of the exterior body color on the centre console, door panels and seat upholstery.
EcoSport Signature Edition
On the other hand, we all know that the EcoSport is expected to get two new variants, not one. While the Titanium S is going to be the new top-end model, a new EcoSport Signature Edition will also come as a special edition model. The Signature Edition is based on the current Titanium+ variant and is expected to launch alongside the Titanium S variant. The Signature Edition will be powered by the same engine options as the refreshed EcoSport, which means the new 1.5 litre Dragon petrol engine offering 123 hp and the 1.5 litre diesel motor delivering 100 hp
The Ford EcoSport Signature Edition model will get new differently designed 17 inch alloy wheels and added safety features like electronic stability control and hill-start assist. It will also come with added features which will include black inserts on the grille, darkened headlights and fog lights, a rear spoiler and 'Signature' badge. The. There will be a special Anodised Blue body paint for this special edition, while its interior will also be colour-coordinated - all-black interior along with bright blue accents and contrast stitching.
The new updated Ford EcoSport along with its two new interesting variants will be fighting harder with the updated new Vitara Brezza and the likes.
