Kia Likely To Reintroduce HTK+ Automatic Variants On Sonet Soon | V3Cars
Kia recently updated the Sonet as it got new features, a new HTX Automatic variant and also the new Kia logo. With the update, Kia also discontinued the HTK+ Automatic variant for both petrol and diesel.
Now, as per an RTO document, the carmaker is planning to re-introduce the HTK+ Automatic variant for the Sonet taking the total number of automatic variants on the Sonet to three. Currently, the automatic transmission options are offered only on the HTX and GTX+ variants.
The HTK+ Automatic variants, as before, will be offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (120PS/172Nm) and the 1.5-litre diesel engine (115PS/250Nm). While the 1.0-litre petrol unit will be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the 1.5-litre diesel engine will be offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

In terms of features, the HTK+ Automatic variant should be similar to their manual counterparts. It gets features like auto headlamps, projector fog lamps, auto AC with rear AC vents, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start, height-adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry, remote engine start/stop, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, parking camera and 16-inch styled wheels. It also gets an electric sunroof but it is limited to the turbo-petrol engine only.

Kia might also introduce some extra features on the automatic variants over the HTK+ manual variants in the form of multiple driving modes with traction control and paddle shifters.
Talking about the prices, the HTK+ manual variants are likely to be priced at a premium of around Rs 80,000 over the manual variants. Here is a detailed price list:
