French carmaker Renault has finally taken the wraps off of its brand new sub-4m MPV – Triber. The Triber is the second 7-seater model in India from the house of Renault after the Lodgy MPV. Excepting the Datsun GO+, the Renault MPV is the only sub-4 meter MPV model in India that offers 7-seater configuration. Nevertheless, it is more premium than that of the Datsun Go+.
The Renault Triber is the formal name of what has been testing in India under the codename of RBC for quite some time. The new French MPV is based on the modified version of the Kwid hatchback’s CMF-A platform. At its global premiere in New Delhi, the new Renault Triber MPV flaunted a design that is reminiscent of the Kwid hatchback that is known for its crossover-like design, while the Triber does get its individualistic styling appeal with the help of newly designed styling elements.
Renault aims the Triber for those car buyers, who wish to get a compact city-friendly car that offers great interior space along with superior practicality.

Design & Look:
The brand new Renault Triber sub-4 meter compact MPV model looks similar to that of the model it is based on. So, the overall design language is reminiscent of the Kwid hatchback. However, the Triber marks itself apart from its hatchback sibling with the help of a newly designed front grille, new headlights, a clamshell bonnet, and more squared-off rear design. In terms of features, the Renault Triber will be offering a list of quite good features, including a two-tone black and beige interior scheme, an 8-inch touchscreen integrated infotainment system that is among the largest in its own class. In terms of safety, the Triber will be offering safety equipment including ABS with EBD. The top-end model trim will also be offering 4 airbags and 15-inch alloy wheels among much more.
The 7-seater MPV will also offer a 60:40 split second row and 50:50 split third row to offer flexible seating options. Moreover, the vehicle’s third row is completely removable in order to offer the option of a massive cargo area. The second and the third rows also come with adjustable headrests for two passengers. The rear passengers’ comfort is well taken care of with the help of air-con vents in both the rear rows. The Triber in its 5-seater configuration offers a great boot space of 625 liters.
The Renault Triber is scheduled to launch in the Indian car market later this year. It is expected to be priced very aggressively with a starting price tag that will be somewhere under Rs. 6 lakh slab.
