    New sedan models to launch in India in 2017

    The sedans are highly popular in India and the sedan segment is ever growing. Here is a list of the new upcoming new sedan models that are set to launch in India in the brand new 2017. The compact sedan segment leader Swift Dzire is set to come in its all new avatar in 2017. Maruti Suzuki’s first super successful premium offering, the Ciaz sedan is set come in its refreshed model in the first half of this year.

    1. Updated Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

    Maruti Suzuki’s first super successful premium offering, the Ciaz sedan is set come in its refreshed model in the first half of this year. The mechanical specs are expected to remain same in the new Ciaz facelift, while it is likely to get mild styling updates and get richer features and safety equipment list to continue with its amazing success level in the C-segment.

    2. All new Hyundai Verna

    The Hyundai Verna’s popularity went down with the arrival of the Honda City and Maruti Ciaz. Thus, it is ready to grab limelight again in its next generation avatar in India this year. The all new Verna will flaunt entirely new exterior and interior design and new features. It is also expected to get a new set of new petrol and diesel motors. Transmission options would include 5 speed, a 6 speed manual and an automatic gearbox.

    3. Honda City Facelift

    Like its strong market rivals, the iconic Honda City is also expected to launch in India in a facelift model in the first half of 2017. The engines will be retained, meaning the same 1.5 liter petrol and diesel unit equipped with the same transmissions. The City facelift is expected to come with mild design changes both on the outside and on the inside.

    4. Chevrolet Essentia

    Chevrolet is readying to launch its Essentia in the highly popular Indian sedan segment. The Essentia shares its platform and mechanicals specs with the next-gen Beat. It will come in both petrol and diesel versions and launch during the first half of this year.

    5. Honda Civic

    As per reports, Honda Civic might make a comeback to India this year. This time around it is expected to come in only its hybrid form after the comeback of the Honda Accord recently, which has also come in only in its Hybrid version. It is expected to launch by the end of this year.

    6. Tata Kite 5

    The popular Tiago based Kite 5 compact sedan is likely to launch in India in the first half of 2017. The Kite 5 will have the same engine choices as the Tiago, namely - a 1.2L Revotron petrol and a 1.03L Revotorq diesel motor. There will be a choice of a 5 speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

     

    7. All new Maruti Swift Dzire

    The compact sedan segment leader Swift Dzire is set to come in its all new avatar in 2017. It will come with an all new design language, more premium quality and host of features like its twin the upcoming all new Swift hatchback. It is expected to retain the same engines choices that include a 1.2L petrol and a 1.3L liter unit. A 5 speed manual and an AMT gearbox option will be there.
