This new product launch strategy of Nissan India will start with the launch of the highly awaited Nissan Kicks SUV, which is all set to happen on 22nd January, 2019. Prior to its official market launch, the soon to launch Nissan Kicks’ details have been revealed through its official brochure that has leaked online.
The Nissan Kicks SUV will be the most premium SUV model in India to come from the house of Nissan. This global compact SUV will come to India based on a different platform and resultantly larger dimensions as compared to its global counterpart. However, the overall design and premium quality of the Kicks will be near identical to the global model with few minor changes. The Kicks will also come with a feature-rich cabin and few segment first equipments to offer an enticing deal for the Indian SUV buyers. Upon its Indian launch, the compact SUV will go against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and its French cousin – the Renault Captur with which it shares the underpinnings.
The Kicks’ cabin will boast of contemporary and sporty design with a classy looking instrument cluster with analogue dials and a digital display for the speedometer. The SUV offers features such as 6-way manual adjustable driver’s seat, central front armrest, pushbutton start/stop system, cruise control, four door mounted speakers, front fog lamps with cornering function, automatic headlights and much more. The SUV also gets endowed with an Eco drive mode which offers enhanced fuel economy.
The Nisan Kicks compact SUV will also come with a few first in segment features, among which the Around View Monitoring system is the star attraction. This Around View Monitor provides 360° view of the surroundings with the help of 4 cameras, which aids the driver to safely maneuver the vehicle and avoid collisions. The SUV also offers the options of whether to get the view from a single camera or the view all 4 cameras simultaneously on the screen.
The Nisan Kicks will also be loaded with many safety and security features. The vehicle will be braced with features such as 4 airbags, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, hill start assist, speed sensing door lock, follow-me-home headlamps, reverse camera with rear parking sensors, cruise control and central locking system among many others.
Nissan has also made the smart move of making the Kicks SUV the official car for the ICC World Cup. This is going to give the SUV ample promotional opportunities in India, as it is a cricket loving country. Nissan India has also started the booking for the Kicks, while its promotional activities are also going on.
Nissan had recently confirmed that it has commenced the production of the Kicks at Nisan India’s manufacturing facility in Chennai, and that the SUV will be available for sale in India in both petrol and diesel versions.
