    Nissan Magnite Prices Leaked; Could Start From Rs 5.5 Lakh

    Nissan is all set to launch the Magnite B2-segment SUV soon. The carmaker has already revealed the features, variants and engines of the car. Now, a leaked image has also revealed estimated prices of the Magnite, which is expected to range between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 9.55 lakh.

    Nissan Magnite will be available in four variants: XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. It will be offered with two petrol engines. While the 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated (72PS/96Nm) engine will be available on all the variants, the more powerful 1.0-litre turbo engine (100PS/160Nm) will be limited to the XL, XV and XV Premium variants. Both the engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, but there will be the option of CVT with the turbo petrol engine. 

    In terms of features, the Magnite offers some segment firsts, including a 360-degree parking camera. Other features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability program, hill launch assist, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, LED headlamps, wireless charger, auto AC, cruise control and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.   

    If Nissan prices the new Magnite anywhere close to the leaked prices, the Nissan SUV will undercut its rivals by a substantial margin. Here is a price list for reference:

    The base-spec Magnite undercuts its closest rival (price-wise) by almost 1.21 lakh. It is even more affordable than the base-spec Maruti Dzire which is priced at Rs 5.89 lakh. The only other petrol-only SUVs in this segment are the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. While the top-spec Magnite undercuts the top-spec Vitara Brezza by Rs 1.60 lakh, it undercuts the Urban Cruiser by Rs 1.75 lakh.
