    Revealed - Mahindra XUV700 Gets Top-Notch Safety, Self Driving Tech

    Mahindra today officially revealed the XUV700. With this new SUV, Mahindra will mainly compete with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus. Because of overlapping price tags, the Harrier and the Hector may also pose some threats

    The XUV700 will come in 4 variants - MX, AX3, AX3 and AX7. Here are the features each of these variants will get:

    Mahindra XUV700 Engine and Specs

    The XUV700 petrol will come with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which makes 200PS of power and 380Nm of torque. With the 2.2-litre diesel engine, the Mahindra XUV700 will make 155PS of power and 360Nm of torque. The diesel engine in higher variants will make 185PS of power and 420Nm of torque. Both the engines will be available with a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The diesel automatic will make 30Nm more torque than the manual.

    At the moment, it’s unclear which variant-engine-transmission combinations will come with all-wheel-drive but it will be available as an option.
