French automaker Renault is all braced up to launch its Captur SUV in India on 6th of November, 2017. The new Renault Captur crossover will be positioned as a premium offering in India and is aimed at the style conscious, urban SUV/crossover buyers. The Captur ditches the boxy styling of a conventional SUV and flaunts a stylish and flowing design along with a plethora of alluring styling elements. The Captur will also come with many attractive personalization options, which have just been revealed.
The new Renault Captur will be offered for sale in five body colour options, namely Cayenne Orange, Moonlight Silver, Mahogany Brown, Planet Grey and Pearl White. The higher variants will also be available with dual-tone exterior colour schemes. Renault India will also be offering multiple choices for seat covers and coloured surrounds for the air conditioner vents and the centre console.
Moreover, Renault will be offering a plethora of elements to further personalize the exterior design of the soon to launch Captur. The list of features that will be available for a great amount of personalization includes 16 roof wraps, multiple wing mirror covers and several additional chrome embellishments.
To make things simpler for the buyers, apart from all these individual features to choose from, Renault will also offer two personalization packages, known as the Diamond Deck and the Urban Connect. As per Renault, these two personalization packages were created in collaboration of its design studios in India and France.
Here’s a look at the two personalization packages of the new Renault Captur:
The Diamond Deck exterior personalisation pack includes sharp styling decals on the roof and the C-pillars of the SUV, while the ORVM scalps are also inspired by the sharp and angular feature of diamonds.
The Urban Connect pack offers an attractive repeating pattern of asymmetric circles on the roof. The same pattern is continued on the C-pillars and ORVMs.
Renault will also offer the option of a leather smart card sleeve and matching exclusive interior floor mats with both these themes.
The Renault Captur crossover is based on the same M0 platform as the Renault Duster, and also shares the same powertrain options with the Duster. The Captur will be initially offered in India with a manual transmission gearbox as standard. The Renault Captur will be available in multiple model trims. However, the new French model is not expected to come in its bare basic variant in India, in order to justify its premium status. The Indian market will also get an exclusive range topping variant of the Captur, known as the Platine. The top-end Renault Captur Platine variant will come loaded with several premium features such as LED headlights along with floating turn indicators, large 17 inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, digital instrument console, premium leather seat upholstery, parking camera, and a lot more.
Post its launch in India, the Renault Captur will be pitched against the premium compact SUV and crossover models like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. The Captur is expected to have a price range of Rs. 12 lakhs to Rs. 14.5 lakhs.
