Volvo XC90 Petrol Mild Hybrid Launched At Rs. 89.9 Lakh | V3Cars

Volvo XC90 petrol mild hybrid is now on sale for Rs. 89.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is only available in the Inscription variant with a diesel, petrol mild hybrid and petrol plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Volvo call its powertrain B6 and it joins the D5 diesel version of the car, which costs one lakh less at Rs. 88.9 lakh.

Volvo XC90 - Engine Specs

The XC90 gets a 2.0-litre hybrid petrol engine, which makes 304PS of power and 420Nm of torque and comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The XC90 competes with other luxury SUVs like BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Land Rover Discovery.

 

Volvo also have plans to bring electric cars to India in 2022. Volvo’s first electric car for India will be the XC40 Recharge. It will compete with the upcoming Mini Cooper Electric, Jaguar E-Pace and Hyundai Ioniq 5.

 

Living up to the reputation of making safe cars, the Volvo XC90 was the first car in India to bring ADAS features like auto-emergency braking, collision warning, lane keep assist, road-sign recognition and animal detection.
