Hyundai Venue Scores 5-Star Safety Rating In BNCAP Crash Tests | V3Cars

The Hyundai Venue has secured a 5-star safety rating in crash tests conducted by Bharat NCAP. With strong scores in both adult and child occupant protection, the Venue now ranks among the safest B2-segment SUVs tested under the programme.

Hyundai Venue BNCAP Crash Test Scores

The 2026 Venue achieved 31.15 out of 32 points in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 44.6 out of 49 points in Child Occupant Protection (COP). BNCAP tested the HX2 diesel-manual and HX10 diesel-automatic variants, although the rating applies to all variants, including the sportier Venue N Line versions.

Adult Occupant Protection (31.15/32)

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Venue scored 15.15 out of 16 points, while it secured a full 16 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test.

Key observations from the crash tests include:

  • Good protection for the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs and feet
  • Adequate protection for the chest and tibiae
  • Good protection for most of the co-driver’s body, with tibiae rated as adequate

In both the side impact and pole impact tests, protection levels for all critical body regions were rated as good.

Child Occupant Protection (44.46/49)

The Venue also delivered strong results in child safety tests, scoring:

  • 23.46/24 in the dynamic test
  • 12/12 in child seat (CRS) installation
  • 9/13 in vehicle assessment

For the child dummies:

  • The 18-month-old dummy scored 7.46/8 in frontal and full marks in side impact
  • The 3-year-old dummy scored full points in both frontal and side tests

The Hyundai Venue comes equipped with a comprehensive safety package as standard, including:

  • 6 airbags
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
  • Hill start assist
  • Rear parking sensors
  • 3-point seatbelts for all passengers
  • ISOFIX child seat mounts

Higher variants also offer additional features such as:

  • Level 2 ADAS
  • 360-degree camera
  • Electronic parking brake with auto hold

With its 31.15 AOP score, the Hyundai Venue currently ranks among the top performers in the B2-SUV segment tested by Bharat NCAP. It outperforms several rivals, including the Tata Nexon, in adult occupant protection.
