Kia Seltos Bharat NCAP Crash Test Scores

The 2026 Kia Seltos scored 31.70 points out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 points in Child Occupant Protection (COP). These scores place the Seltos among the top performers in the C-segment SUV category.

BNCAP tested the Seltos HTE (O) and GTX variants equipped with the diesel-automatic powertrain. However, the ratings are applicable across all variants of the SUV. 

Adult Occupant Protection (31.70/32)

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Seltos scored 15.70 out of 16 points, while it achieved a perfect 16 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test.

The crash test results indicate:

• Good protection for the driver’s head, chest, pelvis, thighs and right tibia
• Adequate protection for both feet and the left tibia
• Good protection for all critical body parts of the co-driver

In side impact and pole impact tests, protection levels for key areas such as the head, chest, abdomen and pelvis were rated as good.

Child Occupant Protection (45/49)

The Seltos performed strongly in child safety tests, scoring:

• 24/24 points in the dynamic test
• 12/12 points for child seat (CRS) installation
• 9/13 points in vehicle assessment

Both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies, placed in rearward-facing child seats, scored full marks in frontal and side crash tests.

• ABS with EBD
• Electronic stability control (ESC)
• Hill start assist
• Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
• Rear parking sensors and rear view camera
• All-wheel disc brakes
• ISOFIX child seat mounts

Higher variants also offer ADAS.

The Kia Seltos is priced between Rs. 10.99 lakh and Rs. 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with SUVs such as the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun
