The Kia Seltos has acheived a 5-star safety rating in the latest crash tests conducted by the Bharat NCAP. The SUV delivered strong performance in both adult and child occupant protection, making it one of the safest option in its segment.

The 2026 Kia Seltos scored 31.70 points out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 points in Child Occupant Protection (COP). These scores place the Seltos among the top performers in the C-segment SUV category.
BNCAP tested the Seltos HTE (O) and GTX variants equipped with the diesel-automatic powertrain. However, the ratings are applicable across all variants of the SUV.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Seltos scored 15.70 out of 16 points, while it achieved a perfect 16 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test.
The crash test results indicate:
In side impact and pole impact tests, protection levels for key areas such as the head, chest, abdomen and pelvis were rated as good.

The Seltos performed strongly in child safety tests, scoring:
Both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies, placed in rearward-facing child seats, scored full marks in frontal and side crash tests.
