Kia India Expanded EV Charging Access And Signed MoU With BPCL (Press Release) | V3Cars

Kia India expanded their electric vehicle charging ecosystem by signing a strategic MoU with BPCL, taking their nationwide public charging network beyond 15,000 touchpoints and strengthening charging accessibility to support faster EV adoption across urban and highway routes in India.

Kia India Expanded EV Charging Network

Here’s what Kia India have to say about the EV charging network expansion:

Commenting on the development, Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said:

“Convenience and confidence are critical to EV adoption. Through this partnership with BPCL, we are making EV ownership more practical and stress-free for our customers by expanding charging access at scale. Strengthening the K-Charge network allows Kia EV customers to plan journeys with greater assurance, while supporting India’s broader transition to sustainable mobility.”

As electric mobility continues to gain momentum in India, the availability of charging infrastructure remains a key consideration for customers evaluating a shift to electric vehicles. By integrating BPCL’s public charging infrastructure into the K-Charge network, Kia India is enhancing everyday EV usability and enabling customers to travel more seamlessly across urban centres, highways, and inter-city routes.

The memorandum of understanding between Kia India and BPCL was formalised on the sidelines of the fourth edition of India Energy Week 2026, held from 27 to 30 January at the ONGC Academy Training Institute in Goa. Under the agreement, more than 3,000 BPCL charging points will be onboarded onto Kia’s K-Charge platform, significantly expanding the network’s reach nationwide.

K-Charge, accessible through the MyKia App and the Kia India website, allows customers to locate charging stations, navigate to them, and complete charging payments through a single, unified digital platform. The expanded network reduces reliance on standalone charging providers and simplifies the overall EV ownership experience.

This infrastructure expansion aligns with Kia India’s growing electric vehicle portfolio. The Carens Clavis EV, Kia India’s first made-in-India electric vehicle, has received an encouraging response for its spacious seven-seater configuration and technology-focused offering. Kia’s global premium electric models, including the EV6 and the flagship EV9, further strengthen the brand’s electric mobility presence in the Indian market.

With continued investments in charging infrastructure and ecosystem partnerships, Kia India remains focused on making electric mobility more accessible, reliable, and customer-friendly, supporting the next phase of the company’s electric vehicle growth in the country.
