2026 Tata Tiago, Tiago EV Facelift Revealed – Top Changes Explained | V3Cars

Tata Motors have officially revealed the updated 2026 Tiago and Tiago EV ahead of their launch on May 28, 2026. While the overall silhouette remains familiar, both hatchbacks receive a significantly revised exterior design along with feature additions aimed at keeping them competitive in their respective segments.

2026 Tata Tiago, Tiago EV Facelift Revealed; Top Changes Explained

The updated Tiago range now adopts styling cues from newer Tata models such as the Altroz and Punch EV, while also adding premium features such as a 360-degree camera. Here are some of the changes we expect to see:

1. Completely Redesign Front End

One of the biggest updates for the 2026 Tiago and Tiago EV is the thoroughly revised fascia. Both hatchbacks now feature sharper headlights with eyebrow-style LED DRLs that give them a modern appearance.

The Tiago ICE gets a blacked-out grille inspired by the Altroz, while the Tiago EV receives body-coloured closed-off grille like seen in the Punch EV facelift. Tata have also redesigned the bumper on both versions, with the ICE version getting new pixel-style fog lamps. Overall, the new front end makes the Tiago and Tiago EV look noticeably bolder than before.

2. New Alloy Wheels And Connected Taillamps

In profile, the 2026 Tiago and Tiago EV feature newly designed alloy wheels. While Tata are expected to retain the same 15-inch wheel size, the fresh designs help modernise the hatchbacks visually. Both hatchbacks also get black cladding around the wheel arches similar to the current Tiago NRG, giving them a slightly more rugged appearance.

At the rear, Tata have redesigned the taillamps with vertically stacked LED elements connected by a chunky trim piece. The reverse lamp is now positioned lower down on the revised bumper. The overall rear styling now aligns better with Tata’s latest design language seen in the Sierra, Altroz, etc.

3. 360-Degree Camera Confirmed

The teaser video confirms that the 2026 Tiago EV and Tiago will now offer a 360-degree camera setup, a feature rarely seen in this segment. Camera modules can be spotted on the front bumper and underneath the ORVMs. This should make parking and manoeuvring easier, especially in urban environments.

4. Modern Digital Instrument Cluster Likely

Tata had already updated the Tiago and Tiago EV interiors with the MY2025 update, introducing a redesigned dashboard, a new steering wheel with illuminated logo and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

However, one area that still felt dated was the instrument cluster. With the facelift, Tata are expected to introduce a revised digital display to give the cabin a more contemporary feel.

Other expected features include:

  • Automatic climate control
  • Cruise control
  • Automatic headlights and wipers
  • TPMS
  • Rear parking camera
  • Wireless smartphone connectivity

The updated models could also offer 6 airbags as standard, replacing the current dual-airbag setup.

2026 Tata Tiago And Taigo EV Powertrain Specs

Mechanically, the standard Tiago is expected to continue with the same 1.2L normal petrol engine producing 86PS and 113Nm. Tata are also likely to continue offering the CNG option alongside manual and AMT gearbox choices.

The bigger talking point could be the Tiago EV. Currently, it is offered with 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack options delivering claimed ranges of 223km and 293km respectively.

Given Tata’s recent trend of increasing battery capacities, as seen with the Punch EV, the facelifted Tiago EV could receive slightly larger battery packs for improved range figures.

If that happens, the Tiago EV could become an even stronger rival to the Citroen eC3 and MG Comet EV.

Expected Prices

With the added features and revised styling, prices for both hatchbacks are expected to increase slightly. Currently, the Tiago is priced from Rs. 4.60 lakh to Rs. 7.92 lakh, the Tiago NRG from Rs. 6.74 lakh to Rs. 8.20 lakh and the Tiago EV from Rs. 7.99 lakh to Rs. 11.14 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

Tata could also introduce battery-as-a-service (BaaS) pricing for the Tiago EV similar to the Punch EV, helping reduce the upfront purchase price.
