Now, new images of the updated EcoSport without any camouflages have emerged online just before its imminent Indian launch.

As has been reported several times, the new refreshed Ford EcoSport will come with good amount of cosmetic updates, new added features and new petrol engine options, making it a comprehensive facelift.

The latest spy images confirm previous reports of the subcompact SUV flaunting an all-new face. As per the pictures, the refreshed EcoSport gets new grille with chrome décor, traditional halogen headlights, new fog lamps lights and newly designed alloy wheels. The most noticeable design updates come in the form of the new single piece radiator grille and the larger headlight enclosures. The turn indicators have been moved next to fog lights on the bumpers. The range topping Titanium variants of the mini SUV are expected to be endowed with powerful projector headlights along with LED Daytime Running Lights or pilot lamps and 17 inch alloy wheels. While the face is totally new, the side profile will remain same other than the new alloys. The rear design will also remain mostly unchanged, other than slightly redesigned tail lights and new cover for the tailgate mounted spare wheel.

The Ford EcoSport facelift will get good updates on the inside as well. It will offer a new classier looking dashboard design, a redesigned centre console that will accommodate an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Ford’s new SYNC 3 interface. The SUV will also receive a new steering wheel and revised instrument console.

When mechanical bits are concerned, the soon to launch 2017 Ford EcoSport facelift model will be adding new engine options to the range. The higher models are expected to get packed with the all-new 1.5L 3-cylinder Dragon petrol engine, while the lower trims are likely to get the 1.2L Dragon petrol engine. For the diesel version, the same 1.5L TDCi mill will continue. It is expected that Ford India would continue to offer the highly acclaimed 1.0L EcoBoost petrol mill as well. A 5 speed manual transmission will be offered as standard, while a 6 speed automatic transmission option will be offered on the petrol version.

The new updated Ford EcoSport is now expected to launch this month, while deliveries are likely to start from December. Considering all the updates and upgrades, the new refreshed EcoSport is expected to be a bit more expensive as compared against the ongoing model.
