Hyundai i20 Magna CVT Discontinued, i20 N Line Prices Hiked By Up To Rs. 6.7k | V3Cars
Hyundai have discontinued the i20 Magna petrol-automatic variant with the continuously variable transmission (CVT) in June 2026. This is the biggest update in the latest price revision, as the Sportz CVT now becomes the most affordable i20 automatic variant. Along with this variant discontinuation, Hyundai have also increased the prices of the i20 and i20 N Line by up to Rs. 6,700.
This is Hyundai’s latest i20 lineup update in recent months. In January 2026, Hyundai had increased the prices of the i20 by up to Rs. 7,435. Later, Hyundai reintroduced the Era base variant at Rs. 5.99 lakh and also reduced the prices of the Magna Executive and Magna variants to make the lower end of the i20 range more affordable.

Hyundai have increased the prices of most 1.2L normal petrol-manual variants of the i20 in June 2026. The Magna variant remains unchanged at Rs. 6.99 lakh, while the Era and Magna Executive variants get a minor hike of Rs. 700. This is worth noting because Hyundai had reintroduced the Era variant and reduced the Magna Executive and Magna prices earlier this year to make the lower variants of the i20 more accessible. The Sportz, Sportz (O) and Sportz (O) Knight variants get the highest price hike in this powertrain at Rs. 5,700.

The biggest change in the i20 lineup is the discontinuation of the Magna CVT variant. Until now, the Magna CVT was the most affordable i20 automatic variant at Rs. 8.13 lakh. With this variant discontinued, buyers now have to choose the Sportz CVT, which costs Rs. 8.81 lakh. This raises the entry point of the i20 automatic range by around Rs. 68,000.

Hyundai have increased the prices of all 1.0L turbo petrol-manual variants of the i20 N Line in June 2026. The N6 and N8 variants get a price hike of Rs. 5,700, while the N8 dual-tone variant is now dearer by Rs. 6,700.
Hyundai had streamlined the i20 N Line range in May 2026 by discontinuing the N6 dual-tone and N6 DCT variants. Because of that earlier update, the i20 N Line manual range now includes only the N6, N8 and N8 dual-tone variants.

Hyundai have increased the prices of both 1.0L turbo petrol-automatic variants of the i20 N Line in June 2026. The N8 DCT variant gets a price hike of Rs. 5,700, while the N8 dual-tone DCT gets a bigger hike of Rs. 6,700.
The i20 N Line automatic range was already reduced in May 2026, when Hyundai discontinued the N6 DCT variant. This means buyers who want the i20 N Line with the DCT automatic transmission now have to choose the fully-loaded N8 variant.
Overall, Hyundai’s June 2026 price revision for the i20 and i20 N Line is more important for the variant rejig than the price hike itself. The i20 Magna petrol-CVT has been discontinued, which makes the Sportz CVT the new starting point for i20 automatic buyers. This increases the entry price of the i20 automatic range by around Rs. 68,000.
