2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross

Isuzu will offer the D-Max V-Cross in two variants: Z and Z Prestige. While the Z variants will be offered only in the 2WD configuration, the Z Prestige will be offered with a shift-on-fly 4WD system. Under the hood, both the variants will get the same 1.9-litre diesel engine as before but in the BS6 avatar. It makes 163PS and 360Nm, 13PS and 10Nm more than the BS4 model. Power is sent to the wheels by a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Standard features on offer include Bi-LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, roof rails, side steps, push-button start, 6-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, auto AC, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear parking sensors, parking camera, dual front airbags and rear defogger.

Over the base-spec Z variant, the Z Presitge variant gets features like side and curtain airbags, front fog lamps, 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, traction control, electronic stability program, hill launch assist, hill descent control and an 8-speaker sound system over the Z variant’s 6-speaker setup.

In terms of design, the 2021 BS6 V-Cross looks identical to the BS4 model. On the top-spec variant, it gets features like dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails and chrome door handles, while the lower variant gets single tone alloys, body-coloured door handles and miss out on roof rails and side steps.

Isuzu will offer the 2021 D-Mx V-Cross in five colour options: Cosmic Black, Splash White, Titanium Silver, Silky White Pearl, Spinal Red, Sapphire Blue, Galena Gray.

Along with the D-Max V-Cross, Isuzu will also launch a more affordable D-Max Hi-Lander in India. It will be a more basic version of the D-Max with fewer features. Isuzu is expected to launch both versions of the D-Max around the same time in the coming few weeks. The D-Max V-Cross has no direct rivals in India.
