The 2026 Maruti Brezza adds a 1.0L turbo petrol engine, more features and a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating. Its underbody CNG cylinder also frees up the full 328L boot. However, not every powertrain and variant offers equally strong value. We explain which Brezza to buy and when a rival makes more sense.

Yes, especially if you want a turbo petrol SUV with a manual transmission under Rs 10 lakh. The new engine produces 110PS and 170Nm. Its variants also cost less than equivalent Brezza 1.5L petrol-manual variants. The ZXi turbo, priced at Rs. 9.85 lakh (ex-showroom), is our top recommendation.
The 1.5L petrol remains relevant if you want an automatic or prefer a 4-cylinder engine. The CNG version suits buyers with high monthly running. However, rivals offer better automatic and CNG SUVs.
The facelift adds a stronger and more affordable engine choice. The 1.5L petrol and CNG options also replace their 5-speed manual transmissions with 6-speed units.

The 5-star Bharat NCAP rating applies across the range. The CNG version now retains the full 328L boot. Higher variants gain features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats and additional safety alerts.
The turbo is our choice for most manual buyers. It offers more power, more torque, and additional features, but at much lower and attractive prices. Its slightly lower claimed mileage does not outweigh these advantages.
Our Brezza 1.0L turbo versus 1.5L normal petrol comparison explains the differences in detail.
The 103PS, 139Nm engine is the only Brezza option available with an automatic transmission. Its manual variants are difficult to justify against the turbo.
The CNG engine produces 88PS and 122Nm and claims 26.90kmpkg. Consider it only if you regularly drive around 1500 - 2000km per month.
Our Brezza CNG running-cost comparison calculates the recovery distance for every variant.
All prices mentioned below are ex-showroom Delhi.

The Rs. 9.85 lakh ZXi offers the best balance of price and features. Choose the Rs. 7.40 lakh LXi on a strict budget. The Rs. 11.16 lakh ZXi Plus suits premium-feature buyers. Skip the VXi.
The ZXi Plus offers the best value within the automatic range. Choose the ZXi if it better fits your budget. Compare both with rivals before deciding.
The VXi has the shortest CNG premium recovery distance. The ZXi offers the more complete feature package. Consider either only if your usage justifies the premium for the Brezza CNG.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO produces up to 131PS and 230Nm. The Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Skoda Kylaq also offer higher engine output. See our Brezza turbo versus SUV rivals comparison for the full analysis.
The Brezza automatic starts at Rs. 10.61 lakh. Several rivals offer lower starting prices and stronger turbo engines. Our Brezza automatic versus SUV rivals comparison identifies the stronger alternatives.
The Tata Nexon CNG produces 100PS and 170Nm. It also retains a 321L flat boot and a spare wheel. The Brezza counters with a 4-cylinder engine, higher claimed mileage and a 328L boot.
Our Brezza, Nexon and Magnite CNG comparison explains the trade-offs.

Yes. The turbo engine, safety rating and more practical CNG layout make it a better product. However, the improvements vary by powertrain.
The ZXi 1.0L turbo petrol-MT offers the best value at Rs. 9.85 lakh. The LXi 1.0L turbo petrol-MT is our budget recommendation.
Most manual buyers should choose the 1.0L turbo. Choose the 1.5L petrol for its automatic transmission or 4-cylinder engine.
It is worth considering if you regularly cover around 1500 - 2000km per month. Choose the VXi for quicker payback or the ZXi for features.
