2022 BYD Atto 3 Electric SUV Teased — India Launch Soon | V3Cars

Build Your Dreams, which is one of the biggest EV makers in the world, have teased the Atto 3 electric SUV on their India website. The Chinese EV brand is likely to launch the Atto 3 on our shores this festive season.

BYD currently offer the E6 electric family mover in India. The EV carmaker recently opened orders for private buyers as the E6 was earlier only available to fleet operators. With the Atto 3, BYD plan to expand their reach to private buyers. The BYD Atto 3 is a C-segment electric SUV and offers a claimed range of over 420km.

The BYD Atto 3 is the longest and widest SUV among its rivals. In addition to that, the Atto 3 also offers the longest wheelbase of 2720mm in the segment. It comes with 2 battery pack options — 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh. The combined WLTP-certified range stands at 345km and 420km, respectively.

The BYD Atto 3 comes with a front mounted electric motor that produces 203PS of power and 310Nm of torque. It does the 0-100kmph sprint in a claimed 7.3 seconds, which makes it faster than its rivals. On the features front, the BYD Atto 3 offers a panoramic sunroof, 7 airbags, a rotatable screen, power-adjustable driver and co-passenger seats, digital instrument cluster and ADAS.

BYD are likely to launch the Atto 3 electric SUV sometime in October 2022. It will rival the other C-segment SUVs like the MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400 and Hyundai Kona Electric. We can expect BYD to price the Atto 3 in the range of Rs. 30 - Rs. 35 lakh ex-showroom.
