No Front Armrest In 2022 Maruti Brezza? | V3Cars

Some new spy shots recently surfaced online, revealing the absence of the front centre armrest in the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza. In place of the front armrest, a cubby space is visible atop the rear AC vents. It is worth noting that the model in pictures is indeed the top-spec variant as it has a sunroof and head-up display visible in the images.

2022 Maruti Brezza

The Vitara Brezza is one of the very few Maruti Suzuki offerings, which offer both front and rear armrests. With the new generation, we do not expect Maruti Suzuki to omit the front armrest, given there is ample space to accommodate one. All B2-segment SUVs including the current-gen Brezza offer a centre armrest. The Vitara Brezza offered a front armrest since the day it first went on sale in 2016. Even the more affordable Baleno hatchback has had this feature since the day it was first introduced in 2015.

While the images suggest that we won’t get a front armrest in the 2022 Brezza, we’re still fairly confident that it will get this feature. It’s possible that the car we see in the images is not a final production unit and therefore doesn't have a front armrest.

The new interior images of the 2022 Brezza also reveal the new dashboard design. The centre of the dashboard gets a freestanding 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It most certainly will offer Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and connected car tech as the Ertiga, XL6 and Baleno also offer these features. The 2022 Brezza will also offer an electric sunroof along with other features like a head-up display, wireless charger, flat-bottom steering wheel and a 360-degree camera.

The 2022 Brezza will retain the 1.5L petrol engine, but for the 2022 update, Maruti Suzuki may introduce the hybrid powertrain with manual as well as automatic transmissions. In the outgoing model, only the automatic transmission had the hybrid powertrain. The new Brezza could get the engine in the same tune as the new Ertiga and XL6. In the 2 Maruti MPVs, the 1.5L hybrid engine makes 103PS of power at 6000rpm and 137Nm of torque at 4400rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
