Expected Safety Features
- 6 Airbags
We expect the top-spec ZXi+ variant of the 2022 Ertiga facelift to come with 6 airbags. These include 2 front and 2 side and curtain airbags on either side. Maruti recently launched the 2022 Nexa Baleno with 6 airbags on higher variants. The new-gen Brezza is also expected to come with 6 airbags. This opens up the possibility of the 2022 Ertiga facelift receiving 6 airbags. Additionally, it will allow the 2022 Maruti Ertiga facelift to be ready for the upcoming mandatory 6-airbag rule.
- 360-degree parking camera
As the Ertiga is a long car, many people find it cumbersome to manoeuvre and park in tight spots. A 360-degree camera becomes a boon in such times. As the new Baleno gets a 360-degree camera setup, we can expect the 2022 Maruti Ertiga facelift to get this feature too. However, there is a chance that Maruti might reserve this feature for the more premium, 6-seater XL6, which is sold under the Nexa brand.
You can book the new Ertiga by either visiting a Maruti Arena dealer or their official website. The token amount for booking the 2022 Ertiga is Rs. 11,000. We expect the new Ertiga to go on sale by mid-April. It will be followed by its more upmarket Nexa sibling, the XL6 facelift.
