2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Spotted On TVC Shoot | V3Cars

Having spent 6 years in the market without a major update, the Baleno is now about to receive a makeover. Some new spy shots of the updated version have surfaced online, revealing some key details about the upcoming Baleno facelift.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The latest spy images suggest that the new version will feature a reworked front and rear profile, but the overall silhouette would remain the same. We expect an update to the LED headlights and taillights, new bumpers, and a larger front grille. The alloy wheels design will also change, but it’s unlikely that the tyre size would go up from the existing 16-inch.

Like on the outside, we expect the interior to get a makeover too. A new steering wheel, larger touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech and some more features might make way into Maruti Suzuki’s flagship hatchback.

We anticipate the overall layout of the dashboard to also feature some changes, and an update to the feature list as well. Missing features in the existing Baleno, like rear armrest, rear AC vents and cruise control will be a welcome addition to the upgraded version.

On the powertrain front, Baleno is likely to continue to get the 1.2L mild-hybrid petrol engine with 90PS of maximum power and 113Nm of torque. Expect both manual and automatic transmissions to be available. With the aforementioned changes, we expect Maruti Suzuki to revise the pricing of the Baleno, which currently starts at Rs 5.99 lakh. We expect the new Baleno to launch some time in the middle of 2022.
