The new XL6 facelift is available in 3 variants — Zeta, AIpha and Alpha Plus. The XL6 facelift is priced from Rs. 11.29 lakh to Rs. 14.55 lakh. The petrol engine is now equipped with dual-jet technology.

Variant to variant, the new model’s prices are Rs. 1.34 lakh to Rs. 2.05 lakh higher than before. The XL6’s base variant’s price is up by Rs. 1.34 lakh while the top automatic variant costs Rs. 2.05 lakh more than before.

The XL6 facelift gets a new 6-speed TC automatic unit instead of the old 4-speed TC automatic unit. Earlier, Maruti used to charge a premium of Rs. 1.20 lakh for the automatic transmission. With the facelift, Maruti now charge a premium of Rs. 1.50 lakh for the automatic transmission over the respective manual transmission variants.

With the facelift, Maruti have introduced a new Alpha Plus variant in the XL6 lineup. It also comes with the option of a dual-tone colour with a contrasting black roof. Maruti charge a premium of Rs. 16,000 for the dual-tone colour over the respective monotone colour variant.

Engine Specs Comparison - Old vs New XL6 Facelift

In terms of engine, the new XL6 gets a new 1.5L dual-jet normal petrol engine. All variants get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. All variants of the new XL6 facelift also get the option of new 6-speed TC automatic transmission.

The new XL6’s 1.5L normal petrol engine produces 2PS of power and 1Nm of torque lower than the older engine. However, it returns 1.96kmpl to 2.28kmpl more than the older engine. The efficiency of 20.27kmpl with the XL6 1.5L automatic is 12.6% higher than before and is a significant leap over the older XL6 model.
