2024 Mercedes-Benz V-Class — Exterior Details

On the outside, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class offers a range of new grilles depending on the variant chosen. In the higher variants, the front grille extends into the bumper and also boasts the signature star pattern. Its black surrounds further merge with the updated LED headlights, which also incorporate a new LED DRL pattern. Around the side, the V-Class continues to offer a large greenhouse and prominent sliding doors. At the back, it offers slimmer LED tail lights with a new twin-torch LED design.

On the inside, the updated V-Class offers Mercedes’ latest MBUX connected screen system, which incorporates 2 high definition screens. The lower variants, however, continue to come with a smaller infotainment system and conventional dials. Apart from that, it also packs the latest 3-spoke steering wheel and redesigned AC vents. Other features include wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, and heated steering wheel.

2024 Mercedes-Benz V-Class — Powertrain Details

Mercedes-Benz are yet to reveal the powertrain details for the updated V-Class. Since it is a facelift, we expect the V-Class to carry the same range of ICE and electric powertrains. The EQV, which is the electric counterpart of the V-Class, comes with a 90kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 342km on a single charge. The India-spec V-Class offered a 163PS 2.1L turbo diesel engine. It is worth mentioning that the V-Class is no longer listed on the brand’s India website and it remains to be seen when it makes a comeback.

Mercedes-Benz India Launch Plans

As per the carmaker, the V-Class is a sales success in Europe and Asian markets. Hence it is safe to assume that the updated V-Class is on the list of cars planned by Mercedes-Benz for the year 2023.
