2025 Kia Carens Clavis Exterior Design

The new Carens Clavis offers a modern, EV-inspired design when compared to the Carens. Up front, Kia have incorporated their new Digital Tiger Nose Grille flanked by angular L-shaped LED DRLs and tri-LED headlamps. The front bumper features silver skid plates for a rugged aesthetic.

The side profile of the Carens Clavis remains largely the same as the Carens MPV, save for new 17-inch machined alloy wheels. In comparison, the standard Carens rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, Kia have incorporated new LED taillamps with a connected light bar and the rear bumper gets a silver skid plate as well. 

Kia are offering a new colour option for the 2025 Carens Clavis called Ivory Silver, which should help it stand out from the Carens further.

2025 Kia Carens Clavis Interior And Features

As expected, the 2025 Carens Clavis offers an updated cabin layout over the Carens. The new Carens Clavis’s dashboard features a 36.62-inch panel that houses the digital driver’s display as well as the touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets the 2-spoke steering wheel from the Kia Syros, albeit with a dual-tone finish. Other feature highlights include:

• Panoramic sunroof
• Front ventilated seats
• Air purifier
• Front seatback tray table
• Front passenger seat with ‘Boss’ mode
• 2nd row seats with electric tumble
• Bose 8-speaker audio system
• 64-colour ambient lighting
• Smart key-enabled all windows open and close

The interior of the Carens Clavis is finished in beige to offer an airy feel. Like the Carens, the new Clavis is available with 6- and 7-seater configurations.

2025 Kia Carens Clavis Safety Features 

Kia offer a host of safety features with the new Carens Clavis. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and rear occupant alert. Additionally, it also offers Level-2 ADAS features such as:

• Adaptive cruise control
• Forward collision avoidance
• Rear cross traffic alert
• Lane keeping assist
• Blind spot detection

2025 Carens Clavis – Variant-Wise Engine And Transmission Options

The 2025 Carens Clavis is offered with 3 engine options – a 1.5L normal petrol (6MT), 1.5L turbo petrol (6MT, 6ACMT, 7DCT), and a 1.5L diesel (6MT, 6TC):

• The 1.5L normal petrol with the 6-speed manual gearbox is only available in HTE, HTE (O) and HTK variants. 
• The 1.5L turbo petrol engine with the 6-speed manual is available in all variants except the base HTE. 
• The 1.5L turbo petrol engine with the 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission (iMT in Kia speak) is available in the top 2 HTX and HTX Plus variants only.
• The 1.5L turbo petrol engine with the 7-speed DCT is available in the HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O) and HTX Plus variants only.
• The 1.5L diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission is available in all variants except the top HTX Plus.
• The 1.5L diesel engine with 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission is only available in 1 variant – HTK Plus.

Note: Kia India have rejigged the variant lineup of the standard Carens MPV, which will be sold alongside the new Carens Clavis. The standard Carens is now available in a single variant only. Kia no longer offer the standard Carens with a traditional automatic transmission.

2025 Kia Carens Clavis Booking Details And Expected Prices

Kia open bookings for the 2025 Carens Clavis at midnight  on May 9. The booking amount for the new Carens Clavis is set at Rs. 25,000. While the standard Kia Carens is priced from Rs. 11.41 lakh to Rs. 13.26 lakh, we expect the new Carens Clavis to get a price tag ranging from Rs. 12 lakh to Rs. 21 lakh (ex-showroom).
