A few days ago, Toyota launched the 2025 Urban Cruiser Hyryder with new features. Now, Maruti Suzuki have introduced their updates for the 2025 Grand Vitara, and the C-SUV gets several changes including a new, more affordable strong hybrid variant. In this article, we take a look at the 2025 Grand Vitara’s latest prices, feature changes and other details.
2025 Maruti Grand Vitara CNG Discontinued
The biggest change in the 2025 Grand Vitara lineup is the discontinuation of the 1.5L CNG bi-fuel engine options. The CNG powertrain was earlier offered in the mid Delta and Zeta variants. These CNG variants were priced at Rs. 13.25 lakh and Rs. 15.21 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The 1.5L CNG engine produced 88PS of power and 122Nm of torque and offered a fuel efficiency of 26.60kmpkg.
2025 Maruti Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid Now Available In Delta Plus Variant
The other major change is the introduction of a more affordable strong hybrid variant. While the Grand Vitara strong hybrid was earlier available in Zeta Plus and Alpha Plus variants only, the Maruti Suzuki are now offering this powertrain in 5 variants – Delta Plus, Zeta Plus, Zeta Plus (O), Alpha Plus and Alpha Plus (O). The variants with the (O) suffix are priced at a premium of Rs. 60,000 and offer a panoramic sunroof. Here are the prices of the new Grand Vitara strong hybrid variants for 2025:
With the introduction of the new Delta Plus variant, the Grand Vitara strong hybrid is now more accessible by Rs. 1.59 lakh.
2025 Maruti Grand Vitara AWD Gets Automatic Transmission
Like the Hyryder, the 2025 Grand Vitara now offers a 6-speed torque converter automatic with the all-wheel drive variant. Maruti Suzuki no longer offer the Grand Vitara AWD with the 5-speed manual transmission.

Prices of the 2025 Grand Vitara mild hybrid have increased by Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 41,000.
2025 Maruti Grand Vitara Gets Updated Safety Features
Apart from a comprehensive variant rejig, Maruti Suzuki have also updated the feature list of the 2025 Grand Vitara. First off, the updated SUV now offers 6 airbags as standard. Previously, the base Sigma and mid Delta variants only offered dual front airbags. Other standard safety features on the Grand Vitara include electronic stability program (ESP), ABS with EBD, 3-poit seatbelts for all passengers, hill-hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Maruti Suzuki have also given the updated SUV the following new features:
- 8-way powered driver’s seat [Alpha Plus & Alpha Plus (O)]
- Electronic parking brake (Automatic variants only)
- Redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels
- Rear window sunshades
- LED cabin lamps
Other feature highlights of the Grand Vitara include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car features, wireless charger, 360-degree surround view camera, head-up display, and ventilated front seats.
