Volkswagen India have opened bookings for the 2025 Tiguan R-Line ahead of its launch on April 14. The new Tiguan R-Line offers a sportier design and updated features over the standard SUV. Volkswagen India have opened bookings for the 2025 Tiaguan R-Line on their official website. The booking amount is set at Rs. 25,000. We expect Volkswagen to reveal the ex-showroom price of the Tiguan R-Line at the launch event on April 14. Considering the 2025 Tiguan R-Line is coming to India via the CBU route, we expect it to cost around the Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom) mark, making it Rs. 15 lakh more expensive than the standard Tiguan.
Note: Interestingly, after opening bookings for the Tiguan R-Line, Volkswagen India have delisted the standard Tiguan from their website. Hence, it is safe to assume that the standard Tiguan is no longer on sale in the country.
VW India have confirmed that the Tiguan R-Line will launch with the brand’s 2.0L turbo petrol engine. While the standard Tiguan produced 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque, the new Tiguan R-Line puts out 204PS while the torque output remains unchanged.

While the Tiguan R-Line retains the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and also offers the brand’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
Compared to the standard variant, the Tiguan R-Line offers a gloss black fascia and a sporty front bumper with large air intakes. It also offers LED lighting at the front and rear along with an LED light bar at the front and a connected taillamp setup at the rear. 19-inch alloy wheels complement the sporty aesthetics of the Tiguan R-Line further.
In terms of dimensions, the 2025 Tiguan R-Line measures 4539mm in length, 1859mm in width, 1656mm in height and boasts a wheelbase of 2680mm.

The Tiguan R-Line offers a sportier cabin than the standard Tiguan with changes such as a sporty 3-spoke steering wheel, red trim accents, and more. Other features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, ambient lighting with 3 zones, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and sports seats.
Safety features on the Tiguan R-Line include 6 airbags and tyre pressure monitoring system. The 2025 Tiguan R-Line will also offer ADAS, including features such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, etc.
