2025 Volkswagen Golf GTI To Launch On May 26 – All You Need To Know

Enthusiasts have already shown tremendous interest, with the initial batch of Golf GTIs sold out soon after pre-bookings commenced on May 5, 2025. These units are being brought to India as full imports (CBU).

2025 Volkswagen GTI Powertrain Specs And Performance

At the heart of the Golf GTI is a powerful 2.0L turbo-petrol engine, delivering an impressive 265PS of power and 370Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), this engine propels the Golf GTI from 0-100kmph in just 5.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250kmph. The hot hatchback also features an electronically controlled front-axle differential lock for enhanced grip and cornering performance.

To further enhance the driving experience, Volkswagen have equipped the Golf GTI with a stiffer suspension setup, a quicker steering rack, and sharper brakes over the standard Golf.
