Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition Launched At Rs. 58.9 Lakh – Top 5 Highlights

The special edition model was launched at Mini Eminent Cars in Surat and is being imported as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Deliveries have already commenced across India.

1. Limited To Just 30 Units

Mini are positioning the Cooper S Gp Inspired Edition as an exclusive collector-focused model. Each car gets unique “1 of 30” branding on the C-pillar and cabin floor mats to highlight its exclusivity.

2. Exclusive Grey Exterior Colour With Red Accents

The GP Inspired Edition is offered in a unique Legend Grey exterior colour paired with contrasting red highlights. The roof, mirror caps, bonnet stripes, side graphics and wheel centre caps all receive red detailing inspired by the Mini GP.

3. Aggressive JCW-Inspired Exterior Styling

The hatchback receives multiple John Cooper Works-inspired styling upgrades, including:

• JCE front and rear winglets
• JCW roof spoiler extension
• JCW rear diffuser
• GP-inspired bonnet and side stripes
• Sporty bumper inserts

These additions give the Cooper S a lower and more aggressive visual stance.

4. Unique Alloy Wheel Design

Mini have equipped the GP Inspired Edition with sporty dual-tone alloy wheels featuring GP-inspired red centre caps. The styling is noticeably more aggressive than the standard Cooper S sold in India.

Inside, the cabin gets:

• JCW sport seats
• Black upholstery with red accents
• JCW steering wheel with paddle shifters
• Illuminated GP-inspired door sills
• Ambient lighting
• Recycled knitted fabric dashboard trim 

Additionally, the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition features a large circular OLED touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and AppleCarPlay. The hatchback also offers:

• Wireless charging
• Panoramic glass roof
• Interior fisheye camera

Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition Powertrain And Safety

The GP Inspired Edition continues with the same 2L turbo petrol engine as the standard Cooper S. It produces 204PS of power and 300Nm of torque and comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). Mini claims the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 6.6 seconds before hitting a top speed of 242kmph.

In terms of safety, the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition offers multiple airbags. Dynamic stability control, ABS with cornering brake control, rearview camera, parking assist, cruise control and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
