Volkswagen India have launched the Tayron R-Line at Rs. x lakh (ex-showroom). The Tayron R-Line is essentially the 3-row version of the Tiguan R-Line and marks Volkswagen’s return to the premium 7-seater SUV segment after the discontinuation of the Tiguan AllSpace in 2021.

Powering the Tayron R-Line is the same 2L turbo petrol engine as the Tiguan R-Line:
The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to all 4 wheels via Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system. VW claim the Tayron R-Line can sprint from 0-100kmph in 7.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 224kmph.
Compared to the Tiguan R-Line, the Tayron features a longer wheelbase to accommodate the 3rd row of seats. Key exterior highlights include:
