2023 BMW X3 M40i SUV Launched At Rs. 86.50 Lakh | V3Cars

BMW India have launched the X3 M40i SUV at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 86.50 lakh. Unlike its sedan sibling, the X3 M40i goes on sale in India as a completely built unit (CBU). Read on to know more details about the new X3 M40i.

BMW X3 M40i Launched In India

The X3 M40i sits between the regular X3 and X3 M and it becomes the second model in the BMW M Performance lineup. It shares its powertrain with the BMW M340i xDrive sedan, which is assembled locally in India. The sports SUV is available in limited numbers and customers can book it via BMW’s online shop.

BMW X3 M40i Exterior Details

The X3 M40i is based on the updated X3 and adds sporty touches in the form of an M Sport body kit. It gets a blacked out kidney grille, larger air ducts on the front bumper with gloss black trim and smoked LED headlights. Around the side, the X3 M40i gets 20-inch M alloy wheels and red brake calipers and blacked out ORVMs. At the rear, it gets a sporty rear bumper with twin exhaust pipes and M40i badging.

On the inside, the X3 M40i offers an all-black interior theme with a couple of carbon fiber inserts around the door cards and dashboard. It gets the M steering wheel with blue stitching and paddle shifters. The seatbelts also get a unique stitching finish in signature M colours. In terms of features, the X3 M40i offers a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree parking camera.

BMW X3 M40i Powertrain Details

The X3 M40i comes with a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 petrol engine. It produces 360PS of power and 500Nm of torque between 1900rpm and 5000rpm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The X3 M40i is capable of sprinting from standstill to 100kmph in just 4.9 seconds with a limited top speed limited of 250kmph. It further offers performance add-ons like M Sport differential, adaptive M suspension and M Sport brakes.
