BYD E6 Electric MPV Now Available For Private Buyers | V3Cars

The BYD E6, which was launched last year, is an impressive electric family mover. However, it was only available for commercial and fleet operators. Now though, BYD have opened the order books for private buyers. Meanwhile, the Chinese EV manufacturer inaugurated its first passenger car showroom in Ernakulam, Kerala, last month.

In March 2022, BYD (Build Your Dreams) completed over 15 years in the country. It provides mobility solutions to multiple businesses with a range of electric trucks, buses, forklifts and other electronic components. The E6 is the company’s first passenger electric vehicle that is now making its way to the private passenger market as well.

On the inauguration of the showroom in Kochi, Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President, BYD India, stated, “Starting from Kochi, we are getting closer to our target customers and are delighted to inaugurate our first showroom in the country with EVM Southcoast. We hope that our customized products and service will spur and accelerate green initiatives in the region.”

The newly inaugurated showroom covers an area of 2500 square feet and incorporates a customer lounge, service bays and charging stations to provide a hassle-free experience. The E6 is likely to be followed by the Atto 3 electric SUV next year.
