BYD have significantly lowered the entry price of the Sealion 7 in India with the introduction of a new Dynamic variant. Priced at an introductory Rs. 41.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant makes the premium electric SUV Rs. 7 lakh more accessible than before.

Until now, the Sealion 7 range started with the Premium variant at Rs. 48.90 lakh. The introduction of the Dynamic variant means buyers can now get the Sealion 7 for Rs. 41.90 lakh, while the existing Premium and Performance variants continue to sit higher in the range.
The new Dynamic variant does not represent a direct price reduction for the existing Premium variant. Instead, BYD have expanded the lineup downwards by adding a new entry-level version. Check out the variant-wise prices:
The introduction of the Dynamic variant makes the Sealion 7 Rs. 4.15 lakh more affordable than the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The BYD SUV is also significantly cheaper than other rivals such as the BMW iX1 LWB and the Kia EV6.
The new Dynamic variant uses a 71.8kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of 520km on the NEDC testing cycle. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 7.3 seconds, giving the entry-level version a balance between performance and range rather than positioning it purely as a lower-cost variant. The higher variants continue to be available with an 82.56kWh battery.
The Dynamic retains several of the Sealion 7’s key features and technologies, including a panoramic glass roof and rotating touchscreen infotainment system.
It also gets BYD’s Blade Battery, Cell-to-Body technology and Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control, along with a suite of safety and driver-assistance systems.
The new variant is available in 4 exterior colours:
The new Dynamic variant is also eligible for BYD India’s ongoing 'Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD' festive campaign. Buyers can avail a complimentary 7kW home charger with installation, a 10-year RSA coverage extension and an extended warranty covering the LFP low-voltage battery for 10 years or 1.5 lakh km, whichever comes first.
