The Nios Turbo gets a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which is also available in the Venue and Aura. Unlike the Venue’s version, the Nios’ turbo makes 100PS (20PS less) and gets 5-speed manual transmission (not 6-speed). This engine is available in the AUra in the exact same configuration.

While the power output may be less in the Nios Turbo compared to the Venue, the torque output remains identical at 172Nm between 1500 and 4000rpm. This means the car should be able to pull easily from low RPMs with a strong bottom-end and mid-range performance.

Since the Nios turbo is a light car, it has an impressive torque to weight ratio that beats the Abarth Punto with an estimated kerb weight of 950kg. Even if it weighs a tonne, it will still handily beat the other hot hatches and will be in the league with the Abarth Punto. Its torque output at the crank alone is in line with the Polo GT TSI, which is a heavy car. The inclusion of a 5-speed manual transmission should keep things simple, fun and hopefully reliable for several years.

The Nios turbo gets the following unique features:
- All black interiors with red stitching
- Turbo badging on the front and rear
- Gloss black grille
The Grand i10 Nios turbo is available in the following colours:
- Red with black roof
- White with black roof
- White
- Dark teal
