With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Magna variant adds enough features to more than justify the price jump over the base model. It gets most of the must-have features and offers fantastic value for money.
For CNG and petrol-automatic buyers, we’ll suggest spending a little more to get the higher variant for better value for money and ownership experience. However, budget buyers can consider buying the base model if you don't want to stretch your budget further.

In the case of the Sportz variant, the petrol-manual variant offers similar value for money as the Magna variant. So, you are getting the features to justify the incremental cost over the Magna trim. For better ownership experience without compromising on value, the Sportz variant earns our top recommendation for petrol-manual buyers.
Similarly, for CNG-manual and petrol-automatic buyers, the Sportz trim offers far better value than the lower Magna variant. So, with these powertrains also, the Sportz is our top recommendation.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Petrol Sportz vs Sportz Turbo Variant - Price, Feature Comparison
The Grand i10 Nios is also available with the turbo petrol engine in the Sportz variant. It costs Rs. 8.02 lakh, which is about Rs. 1.21 lakh more than the ex-showroom price of the Sportz variant with the normal petrol-manual powertrain. It offers 100PS of power and 172Nm of torque. These figures are 17PS and 58Nm higher than those of the 1.2L normal petrol engine.

Besides better performance, it also offers features like:
- Wireless phone charger
- Front USB charger
- Black interior
- 15-inch machined alloy wheels
- Black upholstery
- Halogen projector headlamps
- Leather steering wheel
In the Grand i10 Nios turbo, you may miss features like:
- Front and rear armrests
- Tyre pressure sensors (TPMS)
- Cruise control

Considering the additional performance and features, the Sportz turbo almost justifies the price gap over the Sportz normal petrol variant. If you wish to get this variant, then you are compromising a bit on value compared to the Sportz variant, which offers fantastic value. But, it’s justifiable and certainly worth considering for better performance and drivability.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Petrol Sportz vs Asta Variant - Price, Feature Comparison
The Grand i10 Nios Asta top model also gets the 3 standard powertrains, which include 1.2L normal petrol-manual, 1.2L normal CNG-manual and 1.2L normal petrol-automatic. The Nios Asta petrol-manual and CNG-manual variants cost Rs. 75,600 more than Sportz variant with respective powertrains while the petrol-automatic only costs Rs. 63,100 more. The top model of the Grand i10 Nios with the petrol-manual, petrol-automatic and CNG-manual powertrains costs Rs. 7.57 lakh, Rs. 8.08 lakh and Rs. 8.45 lakh, respectively.

Over the Sportz variant, the Nios top model offers additional features like:

- Halogen projector headlamps (manual also)
- Adjustable rear headrests
- Boot lamp
- Rear washer wiper
- Cooled glovebox
- Keyless entry with push-button start/stop
- Wireless phone charger
- Chrome outside door handles
Even in the top model, you may miss features like:
- Front and rear armrests
- Tyre pressure sensors (TPMS)
- Cruise control

The top model of the Nios offers just about enough value to justify the price gap over their respective affordable variants. However, most of the features of this variant are good-to-have. So, we won’t outright recommend buying this over Sportz. But if you value these features, then you can buy it knowing that it at least offers a decent value for money.
Which Variant Of The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Petrol, CNG Should You Buy?
For petrol-manual buyers, the base variant is not worth buying. You should at least consider the Magna variant, which offers most of the must-have features along with a phenomenal value for money. If the Sportz trim is within your budget, then it adds some more features to improve your ownership experience while offering a comparable value score as the Magna. Therefore, it earns our top recommendation.
The Asta variant offers just about the same value for money as the base variant and it's worth considering if you value some of its features. However, it doesn't get any compelling features to warrant an upgrade.
If you’re interested in the Nios turbo, then you will like the fact that it justifies about 90% of the incremental cost over the Sportz normal petrol variant. It offers a few extra features and better performance. Strictly in terms of value score, it still falls behind all other petrol-manual variants of the Nios.

For Nios petrol-automatic buyers, the Magna offers a decent set of features but the Sportz offers far better value for money. So, we’ll highly recommend all Nios petrol-automatic buyers to stretch their budget for the Sportz variant. The Asta is a decent upgrade considering its features and value rank but it doesn’t add any high-value features to drastically improve the ownership experience and warrant an upgrade.

Just like the Nios petrol-automatic, the Sportz is our top recommendation for Nios CNG buyers. The Magna and Asta are also worth considering depending on your budget.
