In this January 2024 Hyundai car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Hyundai for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Hyundai cars’ sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Hyundai cars.
January 2024 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

Top Gainers:
- Venue: The Venue SUV performed well, showing a YoY growth of 10.18%, with sales rising from 10,738 units in January 2023 to 11,831 units in January 2024.
- Verna: The Verna sedan experienced significant growth, with sales climbing by an impressive 118.29%, from 995 units to 2,172 units.
- Alcazar: The Alcazar SUV also saw notable growth, with sales increasing by 18.87%, from 1,537 units to 1,827 units.

Top Losers:
- Grand i10 Nios: The Grand i10 Nios hatchback faced a decline, with sales dropping by 21.63%, from 8,760 units to 6,865 units.
- i20: The i20 hatchback also experienced a decline, with sales decreasing by 13.46%, from 8,185 units to 7,083 units.
- Creta: The Creta SUV witnessed a moderate decline, with sales decreasing by 12.14%, from 15,037 units to 13,212 units.

Other Observations:
- Exter is a new model introduced in January 2024, falling under the SUV segment.
- The Xcent + Aura sedan showed positive growth, with sales rising by 19.03%.
- The Tucson and Kona SUVs had minor changes, with sales increasing by 1.67% and 155%, respectively.
- The Ioniq 5, a hatchback model, was introduced in January 2024.
In summary, Hyundai’s Venue, Verna, and Alcazar emerged as the top gainers, while the Grand i10 Nios, i20, and Creta faced declines.

Top Gainers:
- i20: The i20 hatchback exhibited remarkable growth, with sales increasing by 54.85%, from 4,574 units in December 2023 to 7,083 units in January 2024.
- Xcent + Aura: The Xcent and Aura sedan models showed strong performance, with sales rising by 44.7%, from 3,812 units to 5,516 units.
- Verna: The Verna sedan experienced significant growth, with sales climbing by an impressive 205.06%, from 712 units to 2,172 units.

Top Losers:
- Tucson: The Tucson SUV faced a decline, with sales dropping by 12.44%, from 209 units to 183 units.
- Venue: The Venue SUV also saw a minor decline, with sales decreasing by 13.95%, from 10,383 units to 11,831 units.
- Grand i10 Nios: The Grand i10 Nios hatchback had a moderate decline, with sales dropping by 30.84%, from 5,247 units to 6,865 units.

Other Observations:
- The Creta SUV remained strong, with sales of 13,212 units, showing a robust MoM growth of 42.94%.
- The Alcazar SUV continued to gain traction, with sales increasing by 91.51%, from 954 units to 1,827 units.
- The Kona SUV witnessed substantial growth, with sales surging by 436.84%, from 19 units to 102 units.
In summary, Hyundai’s i20, Xcent + Aura, and Verna emerged as the top gainers, while the Tucson, Venue, and Grand i10 Nios faced declines.
