Jeep Compass Bedrock Edition launched in India; check out what's new
Iconic American SUV maker Jeep has launched the new Compass Bedrock Edition in the Indian car market tagged at Rs. 17.53 lakhs. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) which owns the Jeep brand has recently announced the introduction of the new 'Bedrock' edition of the popular made in India Jeep Compass SUV. The new Jeep Compass Bedrock edition has been launched in India in order to celebrate the Compass’ great success in this country and to mark its achievement of 25,000 sales milestone.
The Jeep Compass Bedrock is a limited edition model and will be offered for sale in India in the 'Sport' version. The variant gets powered by the 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel motor that offers a max power output of 173 PS along with a peak torque of 350 Nm. The SUV gets equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission and two wheel drive system.
When it comes to the new additions or changes in the Jeep Compass Bedrock Edition model, the vehicle gets endowed with premium features such as 16 inch gloss black finished alloy wheels & wing mirror covers, black roof rails, special Bedrock decals, side step for ingress and the Bedrock logo. The variant also features seat covers with Bedrock branding, premium mats and a reverse parking camera.
The new Jeep Compass 'Bedrock' Edition will be offered for sale in the market in three exterior colour choices such as - Minimal Grey, Vocal White and Exotica Red.
The Jeep Compass is the first India made Jeep product, and it has been a very successful product in India considering its premium class. The Indian consumers have greatly responded to the Compass owing to its superb build quality and Jeep patent SUV qualities along with competitive pricing.
FCA India manufactures the Jeep Compass in its Ranjangaon manufacturing plant near Pune. This facility is also one of FCA’s global manufacturing and export hubs. Till now, this facility has manufactured and exported more than 8000 Jeep Compass units to the international markets including Japan, UK, Ireland and Australia.
While speaking on the launch of the new Jeep Compass Bedrock Edition, Mr. Kevin Flynn, the President and Managing Director of FCA India said that the company is proud of its achievement with the Jeep Compass in the time span of less than one year in the Indian market. Jeep Compass has enabled FCA India to secure its best sales within a 12 month period, in last 10 years of operations. The company is celebrating the 25,000 sales milestone of the Compass with the Indian customers by offering them the unique Jeep Compass Bedrock Limited Edition.
Flynn added by saying that the Jeep brand has achieved significant recognition in the Indian market, and the company thanks the customers who have placed their faith in brand and its products. The FCA team has been putting in great efforts to strengthen the customers’ faith in the brand by offering a first-class after sales service experience that is further backed by the company’s MOPAR promise.
At present, FCA India has 65 sales and service outlets across the country, and it is working to increase the number to 70 within 2018.
